About Rudy Escobar

As a STEM and Computer Science Coordinator, I have a demonstrated history of working in education and a strong skill set in STEM PreK-12 Education, Science, Computer Science, Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Physical Computing, Coding, Robotics, Curriculum Design, and Engineering Project-based learning. With a Master of Education (M.Ed.) focused in STEAM from the University of San Diego, I bring strong program and project management abilities to the table. Throughout my career, I have led several successful initiatives, such as coordinating the implementation of a new robotics program in a K-12 school district, developing and teaching a computer science curriculum for high school students, and leading a team of educators to design and implement a STEAM summer camp for elementary students. I am also an active member of several professional organizations, including the CSTA at Large Board Representative, CSTA policy committee, co-chair of the CASE Region 1 Director, CASE Advocacy committee, and a member of CSforCA, AIforCA, CSTA Equity Fellow, and recently in a new role as ISTE Artificial Intelligence Explorations Course Coach. I am passionate about advancing STEM and computer science education and empowering students to pursue careers in these fields.
