About Ruhini Jayaweera

I hold a Masters degree in Economics and Business Administration with a specialisation in International Business from Aarhus University. Coming from Sri Lanka and growing up in Denmark while attending international schools has equipped me with a unique global perspective and the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and borders. I am passionate about creating value through data-driven insights, process optimisation and effective collaboration. I have experience working with data sets, streamlining processes and delivering actionable insights to support decision-making. At the LEGO Foundation, I developed and maintained systems to organise and manage data, enhanced document workflows, and colaborated with cross functional teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency. I have a special interest in sustainability and how businesses can align operational efficiency with environmental and social responsibility. I’m particularly motivated by opportunities to drive positive impact through sustainable solutions and innovative practices. Through volunteer work with the Red Cross and projects in Sri Lanka, such as animal welfare and supporting underserved communities, I’ve gained hands-on experience in driving positive impact and developed a deep appreciation for grassroots initiatives. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of the impact socially responsible initiatives have on creating a sustainable future, both environmentally and socially. As a natural problem solver, I enjoy finding creative ways to overcome challenges. My curiosity drives me to continuously learn and refine my skills. I excel in communication, building strong relationships across cultural and professional boundaries, and delivering results in structured and organised manner.
