https://beacons.ai/ruipedromarques Rui Pedro Marques holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2014) jointly awarded by the Universities of Minho, Aveiro, and Porto. He also has a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Aveiro. Since 2007, he has been a Professor at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of the University of Aveiro (ISCA-UA), where he teaches and supervises in the areas of Information Systems across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. He is currently Deputy Director for Research and Scientific Production at ISCA-UA and coordinates the Professional Higher Technical Course in Organizational Informatics and Communication. Marques is a full researcher at GOVCOPP – the Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies – within the Competitiveness, Innovation, and Sustainability (CIS) group. His research interests focus on the intersection between Information Systems and Business, with recent work exploring the application of Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Business Intelligence tools in organizational contexts. He has contributed to projects that address technological innovation in accounting, auditing, and transparency in public policies. He is also Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Business Innovation and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, edited volumes, and international conferences.
