About Rui Sousa

English/Spanish/French/German into Portuguese Specialised in Marketing, Tourism & Lifestyle, IT/Tech, Business, Corporate Comms APTRAD Founding Member Since I finished my degree in Translation Studies in 2006, I have worked as a freelance/in-house translator for several translation agencies, a multinational company and several individual clients. Between March 2010 and June 2012, I worked as a Senior Project Manager at Expressão, a Portuguese-specialised translation agency. During that period, I was directly involved in the company’s day-to-day business, strengthening my skills in translation and project management. In October 2013, I created my brand and freelancing business, Mind Words, offering services in translation and proofreading, specialised training and linguistic consultancy."Communicating with an open mind" is my motto and how I see business, with the client and its information being my main focus. Since 2018, I work directly in one of my main specialisations: tourism. I am a tour guide in my beloved city of Porto, Portugal. Additionally, I regularly attend workshops, seminars, and webinars to stay updated and increase my knowledge in several areas because CPD is a crucial aspect of my professional activity.
