About Rupam Singh

I am an Assistant Professor in SDU Robotics, Department of The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute, University of Southern Denmark, Denmark. Previously, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Smart Systems Technologies, Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt from 2021 to 2023. My Postdoctoral research was a part of the project “Learning to Fly Live” which was funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). In project, I handled the problems of path tracking, speed control, manoeuvrability, and balancing control using reinforcement learning which are highly affected by the complexity and unpredictable dynamics of the surroundings. I investigate the research questions in the field of Intelligent, and fault classification-based control of unmanned vehicles. I completed my PhD from Delhi Technological University on Intelligent Control of Robotic System in 2021. My research activities are focused on monitoring and control of diverse robotic systems such as manipulators, quadrotors, dexterous hand, and robotic balancer. A particular focus of my research is on application of machine learning in control, reinforcement learning and real-time monitoring of safety critical systems that range across various robotic systems. I have my expertise in the fields of control theory, machine learning, data driven analysis, robotics, and reinforcement learning.
