Background

About Rupert Shepherd

I am an expert in museum documentation with twenty years’ experience, culminating in more than ten years managing the documentation functions of major UK museums. I am committed to the accurate and efficient creation, management and publication of rich contextual information about museum objects for multiple digital channels and broad audiences; and to the effective documentation and implementation of collections management procedures. Having built my first database in 1992, and worked on various humanities computing and research projects since then, I seek to strengthen the relationship between museum data and academic research. I'm restricting connections to people I have worked with or know personally.
