About Rupesh Ghimire

I am a honorably discharged veteran and had worked as a medical assistant in the US Army for four years. I was promoted to a leadership position in my military career where I managed a team of 5 people while working in the hospital unit. I provided support for computer related issues in the company reducing downtime by 20 percent. My primary job was a medical assistant but I instructed more than 50 soldiers and many supervisors in the medical field related to basic troubleshooting and networking concepts. Many soldiers were able to fix the computer related issues at their work place after learning the fundamental concepts. I was always interested in the IT field and I witnessed tremendous impact of AI devices in the healthcare during my military career. AI devices was used in diagnosis and treatment and it assisted healthcare providers in many aspects of patient care. AI technology was able to save the lives of many patients after the quick and efficient diagnosis. I was very interested in the AI technology after witnessing and seeing its huge impact on patient and healthcare worker. I wanted to know the inside of software development after that so that I can be a part of next big thing in AI technology/software development. I started to teach myself programming concepts through Coursera and YouTube videos. I am now enrolled in the Java coding bootcamp at Tech Elevator. After I graduate, I’m looking for a junior developer position that allows me to leverage my analytical and professional experience. I get most excited about working at an innovative organization with a strong emphasis on collaboration and can’t wait to solve problems for a living.
