After 30 years of Respiratory Experience at all levels, I have found a job as a ICU coordinator that allows me to do my job of evaluating and treating patients in the ICU's. I feel that every healthcare facility needs to start these type of evaluate and treat positions. It has become a great asset to our patients and the Physicians have really come to depend on us to complete this. It does take some time to implement this. We use the SII tool provided by the AARC. We have coordinators and assessors that evaluate and treat non ICU patients throughout the entire Hospital.
