About Russel Moore

I was born in Dekalb County, Georgia and was raised in Rockdale County, Georgia. I graduated from Heritage High School and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry Management from Georgia State University in While working full time as a Real Estate Title Examiner, I obtained my Juris Doctorate degree from John Marshall Law School. I was in the Leadership Rockdale Class of 2001 and was a previous Ambassador for the Rockdale County Chamber of Commerce. I was the Vice-President of the Rockdale County Bar Association in 2011 and 2012 and the President for 2013 and 2014. I am a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Rockdale County Bar Association and am admitted to practice in front of all Georgia Courts, including the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals. My primary focus in my practice of law is Family law, including Divorce, Child Support, Custody, Modification, and Legitimation. I also handle various probate and contract litigation matters. I am currently branching out into mediation and believe that, as an attorney, it is my duty to provide the possibility for disputes to be resolved without a waste of time, money or resources. While I enjoy the give and take of the Court Room and feel strongly that litigation has its place, most cases can be settled without the added expense of a bench or jury trial. I feel mediation and negotiation should be the cornerstone of a successful law practice, with litigation being the last resort. I grew up and still remain a resident of Rockdale County. My wife Bonny and I are members of Unity Church and Spiritual Center of Rockdale County and have a son, Russel, and two great Pyrenees, all three of whom are the light of our life.
