Open to Multi-Unit Management Opportunities. In 2008 I opened a retail grocery and general merchandise store. For four years I was able to grow the Homedale Discount Store by roughly 20% annually. I was able to do this, for the most part, by focusing on building a solid base of returning customers. I was also able to double the amount of time customers spent in my store and by growing the Customer Ticket Average steadily over 4 years. During that same period, I increased our overall margin by 15%. This became possible as I developed my sourcing skills and learned how better to merchandise higher margin products and high volume orders. Three years after opening the store we began to offer products online as well. Online sales quickly outpaced in-store sales. Recognizing that E-Commerce was going to be the future of our business, I learned to program HTTP, PHP, and CSS. I also learned Merchant Service and API functions. When the time came to renew Homedale Discount Store’s lease, I declined, and we became an entirely E-Commerce business. By doing so, we eliminated most of the non-product cost involved in operating our business. Now, after over a decade in business, we continue to grow. ATTRIBUTES 1.
