About Russell Daniel

Russell K. Daniel MD is a board-certified physician and founder of Southcoast Medical, and Southcoast Regenerative medicine, with medical practices in Georgia and South Carolina. He has spent the last 20 years treating spine and joint pain. During this time he became distressed at the large number of patients who continued to have chronic pain after surgery. He founded Southcoast Medical with the idea that there had to be better options. After failing surgery himself for chronic elbow pain, then finding relief with PRP, he has focused much of his time and work on newer, non-tradional treatment options like PRP and cell therapy. He is a member of the Bluetail Medical group, one of the largest, private regenerative groups in the country with over bone marrow procedures done and has had training in multiple autologous procedures including the arthrex bioplasty procedure for knee arthritis. He continues to be involved with premier groups promoting appropriate, current cell therapy options like TOBI (the orthobiologic institute) and was an attendee at the World Stem Cell Summitt in Miami, immediately prior to Covid. He has ongoing relationships with premier cell therapy researchers, and continues to have communication with the FDA center for biologic evaluation and research (CBER) in an effort to keep abreast of current and soon to be forthcoming FDA regulatory changes. Whether in relation to the treatment of knee or spine issues, in conjunction with cell therapy, or simply in regard to general well being, Dr. Daniel stresses the role of proper weight, diet and nutrition to develop and maintain wellness.
