Was a lecturer in the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Queen’s University, Belfast (QUB). His interests within academia were in Innovation Leadership, develop students’ professional and entrepreneurial skills through engagement with IT sector on projects, competitions, talks and hackathons. Member of Operations Board. Hackathon Evangelist in QUB including multi-disciplinary Hackathons with other universities in data science, AI, medical, mental health, transport. Contributed to new programme evaluation panels for third level colleges. Initiated and hosted ‘An Evening with Tech’ in QUB for the general public to try out new tech as well as attend talks on cutting edge tech and its impact on society.
