I am a Senior Subsea Engineer with 12 years’ experience leading and managing the innovative design, delivery and integration of subsea operations (SURF, IRM, structures installation) for operators, service providers and vendors (such as CNR and Subsea 7), adding significant value to organisations. I assess client requirements to provide robust operational strategies/ procedures, generating cost savings and enhanced profitability. I create ‘fit-for-purpose’ equipment solutions (including rigid pipeline installation/subsea weld repair) to improve efficiencies/safety adherence; and negotiate with cross-disciplinary stakeholders to drive business productivity. I currently operate as an Independent Contractor, delivering assignments for companies such as CNR, MSS, iTech 7 and Subsea 7, developing weld repair techniques using new technology to safeguard asset life/long term operability. Stand-out achievements include: leading development of alternative repair technology to hyperbaric welding, producing new Micro-habitat subsea weld repair technology saving £7M per project; managing urgent installation of conductor centraliser solution for key BP asset in Azerbaijan, delivering project on time and under budget, saving £2M; and designing /implementing improved safety solution on Seven Borealis (pipelay/heavy lift vessel) during rigid spool installation on CLOV project, saving £212K and ongoing savings.
