In my current position for the last 10 years, I assist with commissioning and troubleshooting components that complete a process automation system, or subsystem. After the system is operational, I troubleshoot and correct intermittent problems. Preventative maintenance is also completed as part of my job tasks. I regularly work with 4-20mA devices, low/control voltage systems, technical electrical troubleshooting and repair, network communications, fiber optic technologies, PLC commissioning and troubleshooting, security cameras and associated equipment. Project work and electrical design has been a substantial portion of the job recently, as we work to make our systems operate at their best potential. I work and communicate well with others, and in stressful situations. Outside of work responsibilities, I also train coworkers on the use and installation of fiber optic cables, connectors, communication systems, and other accessories.
