Background

About Ruth Cullinan

I am a fully qualified Counsellor and a registered member of BACP. My training was in person centred counselling but I have since completed short courses and CPD using different approaches. I have worked in a number of schools in a variety of roles, mostly working with children, young people and their families, I have been a safeguarding lead in a school but now I am focusing solely on my counselling and working as a school counsellor in secondary schools. I love my work and I’m particularly passionate about creative ways of working with young people. I’m developing a real interest in the Gestalt approach and feel this way of working with young people can be a powerful tool in helping them understand themselves better. Another passion of mine is family work, this is something I really want to expand on. ruthcullinancounselling.com
