About Ruth Leung

Curious, creative, confident—that’s what I am and that’s what I encourage all my students to become. I am an educator with 15+ years of experience in teaching and curriculum design, my students ranging from pre-K to high school. My primary goal is to help children build a solid foundation in mathematics while incorporating FUN into the curriculum. Through a series of storytelling, picture drawing, board games, and contest math problems, my step-by-step method aims to help every child develop a strong number sense, strong analytical reasoning, and strong awareness of the world and the life surrounding them. No matter where they live or come from, children everywhere thrive when their creativity and curiosity are recognized. Over the years, I have taught hundreds of students throughout the SF/Bay Area, some with special needs (ADD, dyslexia, dysgraphia), some in constant need for advanced challenges, while others needing an extra boost when preparing for tests or quizzes. My coaching method is highly flexible, based on the child’s individual needs and strengths, in order to help them achieve their best.
