About Ruth Pearson

I started my employment history working with adults with learning disabilities in supported living providing support with day to day living skills, personal hygiene, and accessing the community for activities and health appointments. after several years building confidence and developing my self with education and qualifications I moved in to the children's sector worki g in a residential home for young people with emotional and behavioural needs, encouraging them in to education, activities and day to day living preparing them for transitioning to young adult services. I moved in to a specialist residential home working with vulnerable young people who require therapeutic support who have been victims of or high risk CSE. during the job role I have progressed within the home and developed myself from a residential care worker to team leader in to deputy manager. As part of my current role I support the home manager and run the home in their absence, I support the staff team and develop the skills to manage and maintain challenging behaviours. complete tasks such as completing paperwork and plans for the home for Ofsted.
