About Ruth Soi

My current roles at Ashoka East Africa include Ashoka Fellowship Manager, East Africa Coordinator for Ashoka's Visionary Program and Program Manager for "Towards Improving the Livelihood of small holder farmers in East Africa Project.As the Fellowship Manager at Ashoka, I provide leadership in fundraising, communication, and relationship management, empowering Fellows to scale their innovations and expand the impact of their work into new regions. My role as the Coordinator of the Visionary Program involves managing, supervising, and overseeing various program aspects, including intake processes, module implementation, and alumni engagement, ensuring a robust and impactful program framework. As the project manager in the project 'Towards Improving the Livelihood of small holder farmers in East Africa I am dedicated to supporting the innovators to accelerate their impact towards improving the livelihood of farmers across East Africa.Before joining Ashoka, I led Business Development and Marketing for a Kenyan Enterprise, devising diverse strategies that enhanced enterprise visibility, efficiency, and revenue. My initiatives spanned community event planning, executing marketing strategies, and implementing new systems and processes, resulting in heightened visibility, increased efficiency, high customer retention rates, and revenue growth.I draw inspiration from creative arts, music, meaningful connections, and my faith. My academic journey includes earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Industrial Psychology from United States International University (USIU-Africa) I also have a certificate in Project management and therapeutic art coach.I've been honored with the Higher Achiever Award Certificate from Edexel and the Community Service Award from USIU-Africa. Currently, I'm pursuing my Masters in Clinical Psychology from USIU-Africa, furthering my commitment to understanding human behavior and making a positive impact
