About Ruth Watson

I am currently working as a Service Desk Analyst at TP ICAP. I was previously on the 2nd Line and Mobile Support Team in the Belfast Trust. In this role, I collaborated with a small team to support service users, managed incidents in ServiceNow, and travelled on-site for a range of jobs including patching and reimaging machines. I was part of an initiative to improve their Knowledge Base, ensuring that the information provided was accurate, clear and user-friendly. I graduated with a 1st in BSc Computing and Information Technology (Hons) from Queen's University Belfast, also completing a year of Professional Experience working as an IT Support Student in aPriori Technologies. During my placement year, I completed a number of projects to automate processes utilising PowerShell and Jenkins, presenting to and assisting in the onboarding of new hires, and managing all IT Support requests for the EMEA region prior to our US business hours. I have a passion for learning, and the determination to face challenges head-on. I am organised and an excellent time-keeper, as I juggled my position in IT Support alongside my part-time role as an audio-visual coordinator at my church.
