About Ruxay Rivera

My name is Ruxay Rivera, I graduated in April of 2015 from Keiser University with an Associate of Science in Nursing. During this time, my main course work included Fundamental of Nursing, Pharmacology, Maternity, Basic and Advanced Adult Health, Pediatric, Psychiatric Mental health and Leadership. Along with theoretical courses, I was also involved in a clinical practice program at Ponce Plaza rehabilitation Center, Doctor’s Hospital, Jackson North Medical Center, Jackson Memorial Hospital and Miami Children’s Hospital for about a year. My previous work experience (completed before my initiation into the Nursing Program) includes Pasteur Medical Center and nana’s Childcare. At Pasteur Medical Center, I was involved in the sales of health care plans mostly geared towards senior members. I was in charge of teaching the members about each plan and counseling them to make the best decisions for their respective situations. At Nana’s Childcare, my position was Director of Services and Care. In this position, I dealt with the management of costumer services (parents and students) as well as the organization of teaching techniques for the child care program. I am currently looking for a position where I will able to use and fully incorporate my training, skills and knowledge in healthcare. I am also in search of a position that will allow my capabilities to grow and offer me an opportunity to advance in my career goals.
