About Ry Kron

I’m a Master of Social Work candidate at the University of Michigan, with a strong foundation in integrated mental health and trauma-informed care. My clinical work centers on affirming, strengths-based therapy—particularly for LGBTQIA+ clients—and is grounded in evidence-based modalities like CBT, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing. I’m currently engaged in a clinical internship at Connally Counseling, where I provide individual therapy in-person and remotely for a diverse group of adults with a range of presenting concerns. I’m especially interested in working with low-acuity clients in virtual or hybrid settings that support long-term therapeutic relationships. In addition to my clinical work, I bring a background in user research, digital storytelling, and entrepreneurship. This interdisciplinary lens strengthens my empathy, adaptability, and ability to connect with diverse populations. I’m especially interested in work that supports remote-first teams in transcending borders—cultural, geographic, and personal—to deliver inclusive, accessible mental health care.
