About Ryan Arleth

I am currently entering my senior year at Ursinus College majoring in biology. Something I feel important to add is that I am a Type 1 Diabetic. My plan for the future has been set on Pediatric Endocrinology since my freshman year of highschool, as I have always had the dream to help those similar to me. As I have grown in recent times, I still have that constant, growing passion to work in the medical field, but I have also widened my horizons into new areas of the medical field. My current plan is to gain as much experience as possible in different scientific fields to further develop my love for this career path, and to possibly find a job I would like to pursue after college. In my time at Ursinus College, I have maintained a position on the Dean's List, and have joined a Medical Professions Program. I have tutored multiple students in Chemistry and Cell Biology as well. In my recent two years at Ursinus College, I have participated in biological research under Dr. Dale Cameron regarding protein misfolding and prion research. I hope that throughout my time under Dr. Cameron's guidance, I will be a part of a published scientific paper on the topics we are currently studying. My time in this lab has allowed me to develop independent learning skills, problem solving along with critical thinking, leadership, and proper lab technique. In August of 2022, I began working a Part-Time Associate position at ALDI USA in Pottstown, PA. Throughout my time here in the past months, I have gained a great sense of customer service skills as well as responsibility for both myself and my workplace. I feel that ALDI has been a great place for me to learn about what it is to be a moral, proper worker and citizen through my interaction with customers.
