Hi! My name is Ryan, and I am in my third year of Mechanical Engineering at UBC. I am fascinated by the machines that move us, and I am currently pursuing a mechatronics and energy specialization. Beyond taking a full course load, I enjoy competing in UBC design competitions to apply my learning while exploring the engineering design process. In my two most recent projects, I contributed to the development of automotive drivetrains, where I designed disengage-able friction clutches as well as non-synchronous gearboxes. Outside of school, I love to play hockey and help others get involved in the sport, as well as get involved in my community.
