About Ryan Balderas

I am an experienced Videographer, Video Journalist, video editor, and compositor. Strong media and communication skills. I previously worked in Healthcare as a US Navy Corpsman for five years. After the military, I realized I had been putting off my true passions of filmmaking. I started learning more in-depth about video editing at my local Community College, where I found like-minded people. I got a bite and then I couldn't let go. I currently study film and media studies at Columbia University In The City Of New York with intentions to apply to graduate school to further my knowledge of film, photography, and digital media. The world of the moving image and story, in its many forms, makes me itch to continue learning and practicing, and I can't wait for every opportunity to do so. Currently looking for part-time and full-time jobs and internships for video editing, videography, pre and post-production, casting, marketing, photography, and P.A. opportunities I am a competent and passionate filmmaker who is always wanting to learn in any role on a set or during production. Whether that is as a leader or a creative subordinate, I am happy and willing to work as long as we are making something together!
