About Ryan Barroso

Ryan Barroso, MS, BCBA ("Ry") exhibits a demonstrated educational and employment history within the health care industry emphasizing the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in the Greater Los Angeles area. In the beginning of his career, Ry was employed as an Emergency Medical Technician and Entry-Level Behavior Technician while undergoing a search in discovering meaning in one's own existential purpose during completion of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (emphasis in psychobiology). He was undergoing requirements for admission into an entry-level master of science in nursing; however, pursued ABA as a field of interest following specific life events and opportunities for fieldwork in becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) under an OTD and BCBA. Ry continued to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology (emphasis in Data Analytics) for admission to a Doctor of Psychology while employed as a Clinical Supervisor in an ABA agency. Following completion of the Master of Science, Ry accepted an offer for entry into a Doctor of Psychology program in the San Francisco Bay area and relocated to San Francisco, CA. Ry also obtained the BCBA credential before relocation to San Francisco, CA and employment as a Clinical Director for the City and County of San Francisco in an ABA agency. Due to the ongoing stressors during the pandemic, he returned to the Greater Los Angeles area to continue ABA services in his own community. Ry aspires to utilize concepts from Behavior Analysis with the integration of biopsychosocial and meaning-centered therapeutic approaches to serve individuals with developmental challenges in learning relevant adaptive skills to find one's own purpose within their surrounding sphere or reality. This is the existential task that anyone in world pursues throughout a lifetime. Ry also continues to provide mentorship to aspiring ABA providers to bring the new wave of meaning-centered applied behavior analysis services.
