About Ryan Berzas
In the summer of 2020, I worked for Nutrien in Geismar, Louisiana as a Process Engineering Intern. While there I gained first-hand experience in walking down lines to sketch drawings, as well as taking a lot of information input to build a hydraulic model of the plant's cooling water system for future improvement projects. Before working for Nutrien, I worked for Cornerstone Chemical in Waggaman, Louisiana as an Acid Process Engineering Intern. Working for Cornerstone, I was able to learn a lot about different pieces of equipment and their use cases, as well as spending a lot of time with PI Processbook by doing performance tests before and after the plant turnaround. After graduation, I studied for and successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in May 2021 and have received my certification for Engineer in Training.
