JOB EXPERIENCE- Started working at McDonald's Uxbridge in 2006 at age 16; I was employed there for roughly 7 years. I was learned a lot working in the fast pace workplace, and quickly moved throughout the business, learning new skills and eventually becoming a Manager and Team Leader. McDonald's was a great place to work, as I found it taught me a lot of skills, specially how to manage time, and handle stressful situations, along with how to apply successful training plans. I still use my experience from McDonald's to this day in my position now, and communicate with my previous store manager and owners current workforce struggles and ideas. I also volunteer at the location each year for McHappy Day. I started working at Betz Pools Ltd. in 2008, joining the Construction Department, laying plumbing and installing equipment for most of the year. I also helped with other areas, such as digging, forming and shooting of the pools. I transferred to Service the following year, where I hit my stride being able to pull my McDonald's customer service experience with my pool knowledge from the previous season. I worked in Service and Weekly Service for 7 years, while working on the Construction and Renovation side during the winter months. In 2014 & 2015 I started creating training videos for staff during the winter as well. In 2016 I was given responsibilities to run a single crew out of a different location, and in 2017 I was promoted to the Weekly Service Manager position, the company's largest department. In the past 6 years, the department has grown from 14 crews with 660 customers to 18 crews with 900 customers under my leadership. I have added two more management rolls to accommodate our growth and implemented multiple training programs for our crews. I have currently been working at Betz Pools since finishing Durham College in 2013. I worked there for the summer months & then remained employed during the Fall/Winter introducing the company into social/multimedia (Facebook, Twitter and just implementing Youtube).
