About Ryan Blank

My name is Ryan Blank and I am entering my senior year at Arizona State University, studying Sports Journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications. I have worked in journalism since my junior year of high school. During my junior and senior years at Blue Valley Northwest High School, I was the sports reporter for the broadcast program, Husky Headlines. My main roles were videoing and creating highlights from sports events at the school, such as football, basketball, and baseball games. During my senior year, I also wrote an opinion blog for the newspaper staff, BVNW News. During my time at ASU, I have covered Sun Devil football, basketball, softball, baseball, and wrestling. I have worked as a photographer, videographer, and writer when covering ASU sports. I also host three radio shows for the student radio station, Blaze Radio, along with play-by-play broadcasting for the station. Outside of Arizona State's journalism school, I am a videographer for Sun Devil Athletics. I also work with Varsity Sports Show as a play-by-play broadcaster and am the voice of the St. Joe Mustangs. As for my interests, I would love to get into play-by-play and color commentary for baseball, basketball, or football professionally. I am also interested in becoming a a sports reporter or anchor for a sports network or news station. I am excited about my future and the next steps to reach my goals.
