Ryan has hands on experience with In-house passive acoustic monitoring, safety for seismic, blasting and other operations, well versed in standard visual monitoring as well as passive and active acoustic monitoring, night time monitoring using PAM and FLIR, as well as aerial surveys. Ryan has conducted marine surveys from vessels, oil platforms, rigs, barges and from land towers. Austin has had over 1200 days of at sea observations and environmental project management. Ten years international experience as JNCC PAM operator, deployed on seven operations with PAMGUARD and Spectrogram 16. Technical set-up, operation and repair of equipment from both Vanishing Point Acoustic System & Sieche Measurement Ltd utilizing both long and short tow arrays. Specialize in accurate acoustic identification of marine mammals and technical repair of hardware and software malfunctions. Experience with hydrophone cable repair and various re-deployment methods in conjunction with seismic operation.
