About Ryan Charleson

My biggest strengths are attention to detail with an analytical & logical approach to problem solving. A dedicated passion to learn, educate and drive to become a better person each day, with a keen interest on new knowledge & skills with a technical and tangible approach. Coming from a predominate rugby town in Scotland, my first memories of a young age are with a rugby ball & with my Father. Achieving minor success from a young age within the sport & gaining many valuable friendships. Moving to Ireland and playing here receiving accolades in the youth All Leinster champions and all Ireland semi finalists with Boyne RFC and Leinster u16 & u18’s. Keen interest in sciences,math,history,geography & computers/technology ( I was on a laptop with mobile internet in before the main dot.com bubble) After school hours and on holidays I would assist my father with his work tasks, him being a stone mason, I help labour to him and his partner on a 2 & 1 squad which gave me a good work ethic early on. After school I was in two minds to go to collage or to get hands on work experience- I decided to start in ceramic tiling(bathrooms, kitchens, etc) keeping these skills to this day. I found myself wanting to learn more and proceeded to do my apprenticeship in Plumbing & Heating. Working in domestic, commercial and Industrial applications, exposure to TIG welding and fabrication. I decided to learn Tig welding in my spare time achieving my coded certification as a hobby. My next adventure took me into design & manufacturing side of plumbing & Heating, using and combining all my previous life experiences along with incorporating newly learned skills of material composition, fracture analysis, product design & technical development, standard compliance, risk awareness & technical competence to excel within the industry notably becoming a Technical Expert contributing to the development of the Irish Standard Recommendation with the NSAI.
