About Ryan Chester

I am a graduate from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering. I am a Geotechnical Engineer with over 7 years of experience in a verity of projects involving geotechnical engineering and materials testing. I have worked as a materials technician for 3 years and have experience in testing concrete, grout, mortar, aggregates, rock and soils in a lab and field setting as well as maintaining, repairing, and calibrating testing equipment. I have experience in geotechnical investigations for various types of commercial and industrial projects different sectors including building infrastructure, highways and roadways, bridges, oil and gas pipelines, environmental, mining, and dams. Most of the work involves coordination with various subcontractors, clients, and coworkers. I am competent in soil and rock characterization, pile inspecting, analyzing technical data, and installations of various types of monitoring instrumentation. I prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and geotechnical reports including analyses of soil properties and design for a variety of structures including roadway pavements and stucture foundations. I am currently employed by Stantec as a Geotechnical Engineer
