About Ryan Clarkson

At the University of Calgary, I support a research team's (Tight Oil Consortium) technical operations, ensuring software reliability and user proficiency. Having completed a software development diploma at SAIT, I specialize in creating robust web solutions. My commitment to innovation drives me to overcome technical challenges and advance research capabilities. I recently designed and co-developed the TecTOC website, a company whose remit is to commercialize technologies developed through Tight Oil Consortium. During the Winter term in 2023, while a student at SAIT, I helped subject matter experts with the recording and editing of videos created for online content associated with the 'Subsurface Evaluation for Clean Energy'(SECE) microcredential program. This program is offered through the Continuing Education department at the University of Calgary. The program has been very well received by alumni of the Faculty of Science, graduate students, and industry participants. My expertise in Typescript/Javascript, C#, GitHub, and Git, combined with a keen understanding of software development processes, positions me to contribute significantly to technology-driven environments. I am excited to offer my technical skills and spirit of collaboration in the dynamic software industry.
