About Ryan Coakley

I work with individuals, families, and businesses using a goals-based wealth management approach to help clients achieve their financial goals and objectives. By listening and understanding to what is most important to my clients, I am devoted to crafting a personalized financial strategy that manages both sides of their balance sheet and fits within their risk profile and investment style. I started my career with Bank of America in 2005 and after spending time as a Financial Center Manager throughout the Hudson Valley, I joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2015. My experience from the retail side of the business allows me to give thorough insight to investing, while keeping the explanations of complex investment management strategies easy to comprehend. I currently hold the Series 7 and 66 FINRA registrations, and Life and Health Insurance Licenses with New York State. In 2018 I obtained the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation. This special area of focus allows me to deliver Merrill's 401(k) platform to local businesses and non-profit organizations. My dedication to service in this area of business helps clients focus on driving successful retirement outcomes for their employees and aims to reduce their fiduciary liability. In 2024 our team was named to the Forbes "Best-in-State Wealth Management Teams" list (Published on January 9, 2024. Rankings Based on date as of March 31, 2023).
