What excites me most about healthcare are the endless opportunities to learn, adapt, and help others achieve their goals. Whether it involves personal growth in how to meet the unique needs of each patient, innovating new ways to achieve better patient outcomes professionally, or striving to orchestrate a perfect symphony of multiple disciplines as a leader, there is always an opportunity to learn something new. That is what drives me each day and what I hope to bring to the workplace.I graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2019 and completed my Master of Healthcare Administration degree in 2021, both at Des Moines University. My experience and course-work in both the clinical and business realms has provided me with background on the importance of patient care, productivity, and adaptability. I am passionate about patient care and healthcare leadership. I hope to enter administration down the road. My first year at DMU I served as President of the Student Government Association for the College of Health Sciences, providing me with the foundation for how to lead a team of highly skilled individuals. During my term, I also served as the Professional Development Committee Chair, planning and coordinating various events within CHS to target professional, educational, and social development.While serving on the DMU Health Leaders Board as the National Representative Chair, I began working with ACHE of Iowa, where I now serve on the Board as Chair of the membership committee.I entered the world of healthcare to make a difference. Whether delivering high level care to individual patients or leading on a larger scale, I hope to make every interaction a positive one. Nothing drives me more than empowering others to maximize their success.
