Background
About Ryan Devinny
I am a jack of all trades master of none. My professional career started early after leaving college at eighteen with no degree. I set out into the workforce with no clear heading on where to begin. Having a background in carpentry and small engine repair both professionally and pleasure those long summer/winter days working on motorcycles/snowmobiles I felt options where limited. After deciding to hold off on college, I landed a job working with kids and young adults with down syndrome and autism that I really enjoyed. I would take them to their jobs and supervise, grocery shop, bowling, etc. and creating learning opportunities for them to enjoy. Even helping one get over their fear of water by introducing a jet ski (with his mothers permission)! After four years, opportunities changed that brought me into the pest control industry. Starting off as a route tech I would manage my schedule, inventory, sales, and service. Eventually I had become a service manager with a local company that help me sharpen my skills. While in the process of finishing my business degree at SNHU I owned and operated my own pest control business while working in my current position at Burlington Electric. Owning my business I was in charge of everything from book keeping, licensing, federal/state guidelines, sales and service. Currently as a Customer Service Representative I field questions and concerns regarding billing, usage, rebates, delinquent accounts, light accounting and IT troubleshooting for customers. Being a jack of all trades master of none has been a blessing. I have been able to better understand the day to day operations of how and why an organization works, not just from the employee side but also the management side of how to keep the organization moving forward in a positive, productive, safe way. I feel that it helps see and achieve that big picture as a organization.
