About Ryan Devlin

Ryan has worked in the Consulting Engineering and Specialty Chemical industries for 30 years, currently specializing in water treatment, wastewater treatment and enhanced oil recovery (EOR). He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry & Molecular Biology. Ryan has provided senior leadership to some of the largest chemical and consulting engineering companies in Canada and currently serves as President of the SSRA and Past President of Ringette Alberta. His volunteer work also extends to other non-profit environmental associations and sports associations specializing in goverance, policy, complaints, and dsciplinary work. Ryan has published and contributed to several articles and papers in the areas of water resources, land use, energy, science and technology deployment, and policy development. He is very passionate about science and technology and often speaks to large groups in Canada and abroad on a variety of topics including, water resources, nanotechnology, polymer chemistry and environmental stewardship. In recent years, Ryan's focus has been on water conservation and reuse strategies utilized in the oil and gas sector. By implementing chemical technologies and engineering techniques developed in China and Canada, the goals and objectives to reduce or eliminate the use of fresh water and high quality ground water for enhanced oil recovery and oil sands processing are being achieved.
