I am a dedicated Staff Accountant at DeCaprio CPA & Associates, P.C. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting that I obtained through years of hard work at Bryant University, graduating in 2022. My enduring attention to detail ensures precision and reliability in my work, driving me to excel in every task I undertake. Outside the office, I am an avid golfer and an enthusiastic traveler, eager to visit new places here in the US and abroad and absorb new cultures and customs in each destination. This balance of professional dedication and personal passions makes me not only driven and successful in accounting, but also friendly and approachable. Over the last 3 years, I have gained valuable experience in accounting working at various firms, including a firm in Manchester, CT, where I was a Staff Accountant for about a year. There, I handled spreadsheets and reports, completed tax returns, interacted with senior management, and learned the in's and out's of many aspects of accounting. I worked with more than one tax software, and completed yearly write-ups for many clients. The write-ups included analyzing and importing bank statements to accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop, QBO, etc.), reconciling accounts monthly, and ensuring a high level of accuracy to each client's (whether business or individual) books. The final production for these clients would be their tax return. I also spent 50+ hours in BDO & other training. I am now working at a firm in Branford, CT - DeCaprio CPA & Associates, P.C. I am a hard worker with a very strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. I enjoy the values, morals, dedication, and professionalism of my workplace. My accounting experience began in my hometown, Bristol, CT, as an intern at Adams Samartino & Co. P.C. This internship allowed me to get my foot in the door in the accounting world, as I was tasked with multiple projects that involved closing out the year end for many companies and dealing with spreadsheets and data, all to be delivered to upper management upon completion. Ever since my first Accounting class in high school, I knew this was what I wanted to do. I am very passionate as an accountant and I look forward to the advancement of my career and all that comes with it.
