About Ryan Dorman

In 2006, I earned an advanced diploma in Architectural Technology - Construction Management from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. For the next 16 years, I worked at one of the largest construction services firms in Canada, ultimately earning the title of Senior Project Manager. My experience involved daily interactions with clients, consultants and subcontractors, and being accountable for the successful delivery of several high-profile ICI projects. I gained years of experience overseeing and developing large project teams, reporting and setting expectations among project stakeholders, coordinating trades and vendors, negotiating and administering contracts, implementing change orders and strict cost controls, as well as creating and maintaining construction schedules. During the pre-construction phase of projects, I was often involved in the design-development process, while being tasked with ongoing constructability analyses, permit management, existing conditions survey coordination, budgeting and logistics planning. As Project Director for Windmill Developments, I regularly liaise with the pre-development team and am responsible for the construction phase of several high-profile, mixed-use residential developments in the GTA and surrounding region.
