I am always hungry. Weather it be painting or design, I love to show people what they don't normally see. Painting background: Paper, paint, texture and color harmonize on canvas. Tattered walls that have been layered with a hundred years of wallpaper and paint convey a texture of time. I create each work with recycled newsprint, old catalogs, journals, diaries and any type of old paper that can give the work balance. My recent work continues to be inspired by the city around me; nostalgic images of technology, love for bacon, flowers, Japanese antique tin robots and objects from our everyday lives that are often overlooked. I strive to share the beauty of all of these objects through layering and depth of color. Through my work I hope to inspire a sense of appreciation for the beauty and vibrant energy of these objects. My design background: Versed in all current Mac OS design programs, spanning 2D and 3D designs for companies such as: Disney, Pixar, Warner Bros, Nickelodeon, Harley-Davidson, United Media, Mattel, NASCAR, Lucas Films, Sesame Street, Cartoon Network, DC and Marvel Comics, Hit Entertainment, Dr. Seuss, and other multiple retailers such as Hallmark, Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s, Sears, Target, Lowe’s, K-Mart, CVS and Kohl’s. I have created licensed products on everything imaginable: surface design, 3D gift product design, mechanical paper design, calendars, stickers, gift-wrap and party materials that encompass a wide range of printing methods and design formats. I feel that this communication has been the key to my success, and a quintessential element to the overall success of each design I create. I have an understanding of the market and demographics of licensed consumer products, and have the ability to lead design projects or collaborate within a team environment.
