About Ryan E. Rocha

Ryan Rocha has been involved in aviation management since 1995. Previously, Ryan served as Airport Integrated Control Center Manager since April 2015 and the Airport Operations Manager of San Antonio International Airport since March 2007. Mr. Rocha was influential toward the San Antonio International Airport receiving the 2011 FAA Southwest Region Airport Safety Award for an outstanding contribution and commitment to aviation safety. Mr. Rocha implemented the San Antonio International Airport FOD Prevention Program and Terminal Ramp Inspection Program to address FOD and safety issues in an effort to be proactive in implementing the SAT Safety Management System. Previously, Mr. Rocha was the Manager of Operations, Maintenance, and ARFF at the Salina Airport Authority in Salina, Kansas where he enabled the Salina Municipal Airport to receive the FAA Central Region Airport Safety Enhancement Award for no discrepancies noted by the FAA for three consecutive years. In Salina, Kansas, Ryan was a team member of the successful Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer flight around the world. Ryan was also an Airport Operations Officer at John Wayne Airport and San Bernardino International Airport (formerly Norton AFB). Mr. Rocha served as an adjunct instructor at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University-Randolph AFB teaching Airport Operations and Management and also served as an adjunct instructor in the Professional Pilot program at Kansas State University Salina teaching Air Transportation. Mr. Rocha has extensive experience in airport operations, maintenance, aircraft rescue and fire fighting, emergency preparedness, capital procurement, airfield construction, airport industrial center development, airport planning and design, air carrier operations, public speaking, educating and professional development of staff, consultant selection, and utilization of new technology for airfield safety.
