I lead with a unique combination of problem-solving ability, effective communication and overall positivity and enthusiasm for life, which allows me to extract the best from those who work with me and influence successful project outcomes. I am a husband, and father of two children, who graduated from UWA with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) in 2007. My current role as Program Manager - Rail, allows me to oversee a program of rail studies from order of magnitude, right through to execution. With a focus on Rail Renewals, Sustaining Capital Projects and Decarbonization, the role allows me to interface with key stakeholders across all major rail providers and operators within the state and provide strategic guidance and direction to the Calibre Service Offering. The perspective I bring to this role is a combination of my experience gained from serving the WA Resource Sector for over 14-years. Having held site-based roles with Thiess I have kicked my fair share of red dirt around the Pilbara, and been responsible for delivering earthworks, drainage, structural and NPI Packages. Since joining Calibre in 2011, I have worked in and around Rail projects for BHP, Rio Tinto and Roy Hill, delivering a range of services from studies right through to implementation. I have also delivered SMPEI execution works and Major projects for Rio Tinto. I have built trusted relationships with our Clients, who come back time and time again. In recent years I have stepped beyond my strong technical foundations and moved into leadership and management roles. I am a communicative leader who authentically engages with my team members to understand key strengths and capabilities. I then give my team members space to grow and deliver, all the while providing positive guidance and organisational security. Integrity and Accountability is a non-negotiable for me. In 2020 I pursued my love for growth and development, commencing an MBA at the University of Western Australia. In 2021 I was accepted into the Intensive cohort and I graduated with Distinction in early 2022. This experience has opened my eyes to the possibilities that exist all around me, and has molded me into a more authentic leader.
