As an Emergency Services Coordinator serving the state of California, I'm dedicated to strengthening regional and statewide preparedness through effective mitigation, response, recovery, and planning initiatives. I've demonstrated my dedication through strong relationship building and collaboration, becoming a trusted and reliable source for my local/regional partners during times of need. Additionally, I have over 14 years of experience in emergency medical services—serving as a paramedic, field training officer, and operations supervisor, as well as an EMS adjunct instructor since 2015. I believe my field-tested experience has taught me to be adaptable, flexible, and resilient in emergency situations. I also bring experience as a hospital-based Emergency Manager, where I successfully led regulatory and compliance survey readiness across a healthcare network, implemented corrective actions, and improved emergency programs through updated planning and training. This role allowed me to further integrate my healthcare knowledge with emergency management practices—creating a well-rounded, system-wide approach to preparedness and response. I am well-versed in the National Incident Management System, the National Response Framework, the Incident Command System, and California’s Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS). I’m especially passionate about planning projects, drills, and exercises that build community resilience and operational readiness. Recently, I've earned Emergency Management Specialist certification through California Standardized Training Institute and my Certified Emergency Manager through the International Association of Emergency Managers. My real enjoyment comes from responding—whether responding on an EMS strike team, deploying to an Emergency Operations Center activation, or assisting communities at Disaster Recovery Centers. My mission is simple: to ensure that people, systems, and communities are ready when it matters most.
