Welcome. Think about this: What are you good at? Everyone on this planet is really good at something. For me, it's always been writing. Never mind the fact I ended that previous sentence with a preposition; to those of us who respect the sanctity of proper grammar, that is a huge no-no. Growing up, some kids were good at math or science. Numbers are not my thing. I only enrolled in an algebra class in college because it was mandatory. Same goes for that one geology class, which wasn't required but sounded fun; someone told me beforehand that it was like rocks for jocks. My passion led me to study journalism, which gave way to an abrupt attempt to crack the television and radio broadcasting industry. And then there was the restaurant and hospitality field. Which was followed by selling insurance. Through it all, I wrote. I wrote for any website that would have me. Most of the time, I wrote for free. Back then, you didn't have to pay me as long as you promised some exposure. And it worked. My work has been cited by ESPN.com. I was interviewed by a local sports radio station. Bleacher Report, the Web's second-largest sports site, gave me an iPod for winning a company writing contest. There are bills now, so I no longer work for free, but I still find ways to exercise my passion. Nowadays, I spend time advising clients on how to create content that will resonate with Google. My skills as a writer have developed to become more flexible. I understand that different audiences respond to different messages. And reaching each one may very well require a specific style of writing. If that means using sentence-ending propositions. so be it.
