About Ryan Fellowes

For the last 6 years I have worked primarily within the Servomex Group. I have gained experience working as an applications engineer initially, and then progressed to work in service. Moving to the Service was a choice I made so that I could apply what I had learnt from my HND level in electrical and electronics engineering to a practical format. This allowed me to work hands on and really develop my fault-finding skills not just in house but also on site. I made the move to specialize in chromatography in 2021 as a test engineer so that I could develop an in depth understanding on the specialist product. Since then, I have developed a good understanding of gas chromatography as a general practice as well as the product specifically.Outside of Servomex, I run my own hobby workshop with a close friend in which we try to use the space in an efficient manner, as though it were a consistent project of ours. This started about 2 years ago and has developed a considerable amount and is now a very versatile workspace. we push for continuous improvement to better the workspace for our personal projects. I carry out Knife making in my allocated workspace (culinary primarily) which intern has sparked a strong interest in metallurgy and the associated tools that come with the hobby. It ties in nicely with my engineering background and it helps considerably. Quite often now I have collaborated with a good friend of mine who is a CNC machinist to make specialists tools to aid the process.
