About Ryan Freeland

Founder and owner of Wolverine Dermatology, a general dermatology, Mohs, and dermatopathology private practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His practice specializes in medical and surgical dermatology for all age groups and remains in network for all three of the major regional health systems-U of M/ Metro Health, Spectrum Health, and St. Mary's Mercy Health. Dr. Freeland is a dynamic teacher and combat proven physician who prioritizes the best interest of the patient, efficient delivery of highest quality care, effective graduate medical education, and collaboration within and among health care teams. Dr. Freeland is a team player with 10 military deployments with experience as a commander of a 35 person medical unit and lead physician of three combined combat Task Forces in Afghanistan and South America. He served as medical director for a dermatology department and previously carried an Assistant Professorship at the military medical school in Bethesda, Maryland.
