About Ryan Gaterman

I began my career in Colorado as a fly fishing guide in 2011, where I developed a deep appreciation for the great outdoors and the beauty of nature. My journey has taken me through various roles, including living and working on farms, which allowed me to connect more intimately with agriculture and nature’s rhythms. During this time, I also ventured into the startup community, gaining valuable experience an event organizer. It was while working in a restaurant as a second job that I discovered my passion for the culinary world. My perspective on wine transformed as I began to see it through the lens of farming and the cycles of nature, leading me to a career in luxury lodging and dining. I had the privilege of working alongside Master Sommelier, Bobby Stuckey, deepening my knowledge and appreciation for fine wine and exceptional service. Now, I am eager to merge my diverse experiences in adventure, agriculture, food, and wine. My goal is to open a wine bar in Nederland, CO that embodies these elements. Eventually, my ideal career would also incorporate a guiding service that features experiences such as glamping, foraging, and fishing. Through these ventures, I aim to create a unique experiences where people can gather, celebrate, and enjoy the best of what life and nature have to offer.
