Pest Control Service Technician for the spring/summer and Long Track Speed Skater / Olympic Oval Ice Technician for the summer, fall and winter. In my second year of studying Mechanical Engineering I was given the opportunity to transition from Junior A hockey back in Ontario to Long Track Speed Skating. This was done with the help of Royal Canadian Bank’s ‘RBC Training Ground’ program. It was a talent search pool for athletes that may find success in other sports that they may have never considered. Through this search I was given the opportunity to compete at the national final stage for potential funding to pursue this new sport. I was 1 of 30 selected out of all of Canada to be given funding and it was then that I decided to put my school on hold to pursue long track speed skating full-time in hopes of making it to Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. In the short amount of time that I have been speed skating (3.5 yrs) I have achieved multiple medals in Canadian national racing events and am currently ranked top 5 in Canada.
