My educational philosophy is to both foster and celebrate student voice, creativity, diversity and critical-thinking skills. I firmly believe in all students' abilities to grow as learners and individuals when given the proper platform and chance to express themselves, their knowledge and their life experiences. Specifically drawn to multilingual education, I strive to push for equity in education and am passionate about breaking down the barriers for entry created by an education system which has been stuck in a long-term "English-only" mindset. All students of all backgrounds have the right to a fair and equitable education, through which they can learn and develop not just as students, but also as human beings. As an educator, it is my duty not just to teach, but to learn from my students at every possible opportunity.
