Confident, intuitive, and tremendously hard-working, Ryan’s approachable demeanour really shines through when delivering complex projects within the education, commercial, residential and leisure sectors. Ryan co-founded Enjoy Design with the aim to help lead a team of creative and highly skilled individuals who share a genuine enjoyment for what they do. He believes that everyone is a key component throughout the entire design process and shares a mutual respect for the team, built upon solid relationships. Notable experience includes (but is not exclusive to): Opera North's £18m transformation at the Grade II* Listed Howard Assembly Room & Leeds Grand Theatre, including a new restaurant, glazed atrium, a training academy, and new orchestral rehearsal studios. Design and delivery of a new £19m Sport and Leisure Village including an athletics stadium, tennis club, gymnasium, football and associated changing facilities. Lead Architect and Designer on the relocation of BDO Leeds Offices. Design and fit out of The Yorkshire Post's new contemporary workspace, reception, and conferencing areas. Leading several teams to design and deliver a number of successful schools including a large secondary school, a special school for autism and a high secure pupil referral unit for the Middlesbrough BSF programme. Leading the design and subsequent transformation of Leeds Bus Station. Ryan also guest tutored at The University of Nottingham on their Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture course. Described by colleagues as ‘unflappable’, Ryan’s self-assured nature combined with an innate ability to manage when faced with a challenge, reassures clients that they will always receive a superb project outcome.
