About Ryan Hileman

As I grew up in small-town Ohio, I learned that complacency is very real and that there is much more the world can offer that a small town may not. At 20 years old, I joined the U.S. Navy in hopes to become fulfilled with challenges, new perspectives, and accomplishments. In 2014, the Navy took me to San Diego, California. I found myself in a supervisory role in the shipboard engineering department, leading 7 sailors in corrective and preventative maintenance on the power distribution plant. The military taught me how to become an effective leader and increased my drive for success and self-betterment. In 2018, as my time in the Navy was coming to an end, I decided higher education was the next step in bettering my personal-self and career. I received an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Science in 2020, and graduated with a 3.97 GPA and High-Honors. In 2022, I graduated from the University of California: San Marcos, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration: Management Information Systems, with an overall 3.98 GPA and Summa Cum Laude Honors. I now live on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC, where I manage an Information Management department for a large non-profit organization. I am always looking to learn something new, and continue to better myself.
